Sometimes life is just hard. There are days when you want to understand your emotions, behaviors, and relationships better but you don’t have the time or place for it. You may share your concerns with your loved ones and feel you are not being fully heard. My goal isn’t just to hear you but to truly listen. Therapy is not solely a place where you can find answers to your questions but a place where you can feel open to be who you truly are. I promise to provide a safe space that embodies deep connections, understanding, and enlightenment.
My passion for being a therapist didn’t truly grow until I cared for and lost a child. I learned that the most important tool in life is the support of others. It is by and through others that we can gain new perspectives, find comfort, and fulfill goals. I hope to help you find the peace you are searching for by being a a part of your support team.
Some hobbies of mine include camping and hiking with my husband and dogs. I love exploring new places! I also enjoy a good laugh and a sweet treat while playing card games with friends and family.
Clinical Mental Health Counselor
As a Sanpete native, I’m deeply connected to this community and passionate about supporting the well-being of those who live here. I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Utah State University and a post-graduate certification in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Rocky Mountain University.
I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a powerful evidence-based approach that helps clients process trauma and distressing memories in a rapid and effective way.
I bring a strong foundation in faith-based services, recognizing the powerful role that spirituality can play in helping individuals reconnect with their sense of purpose and improve their overall mental health. This passion is what led me to join Ascend.
I strive to offer clarity, compassion, and a collaborative approach in every session. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices, and I bring energy and commitment to each client relationship. I have experience with adolescents, women, and couples, helping them navigate challenges with confidence and resilience.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I wanted to work for Ascend because of their focus on faith-based services. God has blessed me throughout my life and I know He blesses others, but our mental and emotional health can impact our connection with Him. I really enjoy connecting with clients and supporting them on their healing journey. I love it so much, I want to continue doing it in retirement with Ascend Counseling & Coaching. I desire to bring hope and healing to all clients I see.
Education & Training
Most of my clinical experience came from serving clients at Central Utah Counseling Center in Ephraim, Utah. I graduated from the University of Utah in 2001 with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. I have also received training in CBT, DBT, ART and many other modalities.
About Me
I have lived and worked in rural Utah for over 22 years. I enjoy hiking and healthy eating habits. In addition, I am spiritual and religious and enjoy worshiping Jesus through singing in choirs. Because of Him, hope and healing are possible.
